Australia’s favorite and most-awarded luxury motor yacht builder, Riviera, is preparing to roll out the red carpet for a brilliant nine-model display at the largest boat show in the world – the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – from 3-7 November 2016.

Making their Americas Premieres in Florida will be the newest members of the luxury marque’s popular Sport Yacht and adventurous SUV crossover collections – the Riviera 4800 Sport Yacht and spacious 575 SUV.

Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said the entire Riviera display in Fort Lauderdale will be a showcase of boating excellence and will also comprise the stylish 3600, 5400 and 6000 Sport Yachts, the supremely seaworthy 43 Open Flybridge, 52 and 57 Enclosed Flybridge designs, as well as the modern classic Belize 54 Daybridge.

And, of course, there’s a special Fort Lauderdale evening of Riviera-style celebration being planned for Riviera owners too.

The 4800 Sport Yacht – boasts a multitude of entertaining features with two spacious staterooms, two bathrooms and proudly takes key design cues from the extremely popular Riviera 6000 and new 5400 models.

All the Sport Yacht series hallmarks are embedded deeply in her DNA – sleek styling, luxurious single-level living and entertaining lay-out and superb sea-keeping capabilities.

– appeals to a wide spectrum of boating enthusiasts, and is also exciting a new generation
to enjoy Riviera’s luxury lifestyle.

“The 4800 Sport Yacht’s impressive exterior profile features contemporary hull windows and porthole designs that are recessed for added protection, as well as a sports-styled targa arch, large side saloon windows, curved front windscreen and hydraulic boarding platform,” said Mr Longhurst.

“As soon as you step aboard you will notice her generous cockpit with seating on two separate lounges, around a fixed table, full wet bar and double barbecue creating a truly unique alfresco living area,” he said.

“There’s also an additional onboard entertainment zone up on the forward deck with a large sun pad with folding back rest and optional speakers located under the windscreen brow so the whole yacht can party together.”

Stepping through the sliding glass door and into the spacious salon, you immediately sense the high degree of boating knowledge held by Riviera’s talented team of designers – there is a multitude of clever storage solutions and a port-side gourmet galley that allows easy catering access to both the salon and the cockpit.

“Natural light fills the expansive interior living space, with sliding side windows allowing cross ventilation when desired,” said Mr Longhurst. “An electric saloon sunroof also slides open for additional light and fresh air, or an amazing view of the stars at night.”

The 4800’s accommodation layout gives owners a large atrium lower lounge that can comfortably seat up to five. This space is the perfect retreat, games center … or even a quiet workspace. At night it can also provide sleeping accommodation for an additional guest.

“The luxurious master stateroom forward features large fixed hull windows for natural lighting and enjoyment of the outside view, a queen-sized walk-around bed with innerspring mattress while above, as well as within the contemporary styled en suite, there’s an overhead hatch for fresh air that screens for privacy when desired,” said Mr Longhurst.

“The VIP guest stateroom amidships features full headroom at its entry, where there is a cedar-lined hanging locker, as well as three adult-sized single beds. There’s the option of the two portside beds being able to slide together to create a double. “

Mr Longhurst said Riviera’s design team have created a responsive new hull for the 4800 Sport Yacht that is the perfect match for the new state-of-the-art Volvo Penta D8-IPS800 Inboard Propulsion System (IPS) with twin D8 engines and new IPS15 pod-drives (2 x 442kW/600hp).

“This means owners will enjoy Riviera’s spirited performance as well as all the smooth and fuel-efficient benefits of IPS, including easy joystick maneuverability and the innovative Glass Cockpit navigation and systems monitoring features that make boating today with Riviera even more enjoyable,” he said.

Riviera’s new three-stateroom, two-bathroom 575 SUV is a very versatile and welcome addition to the marque’s acclaimed crossover collection that combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the classic Riviera Flybridge design, and the single-level, leisurely entertaining features of the very popular Sport Yacht design.

The three-stateroom/two bathroom Riviera 575 SUV – with full-beam master stateroom – is
the embodiment of innovation, from her fresh-thinking design to her state-of-the-art
navigation systems and right through to luxuriously polished finish.

“Owners can choose a traditional, more-open cockpit design if they desire or enjoy the Riviera 575 SUV’s clever new cockpit and mezzanine cruising package that creates an entirely new indoor/outdoor living experience and is ideal for entertaining and cruising,” said Mr Longhurst.

“Key features of the 575 SUV include an hydraulic boarding platform, spacious and sumptuous salon where natural light and fresh air is introduced through opening tinted salon side windows which, in tandem with the massive front windscreen and dual electric sunroofs, filter light below through the companionway and to the accommodation deck.

“The master stateroom extends right across the full beam and features a king-sized bed with designer headboard detailing as well as a private en suite. The forward guest stateroom mirrors the level of luxury in the master with a queen-size walk-around bed, while the starboard stateroom has adult-sized upper and lower beds, also with innerspring mattresses and with an en suite that, with two-way entry, also serves as the day head.”

Riviera’s dedicated engineering team has integrated a full suite of easy-to-use and dependable marine system options into the new 575 SUV, including the very latest intuitive marine navigation and digital switching systems.

There are four choices for a drive package for new the 575 SUV:

Pod drives –

• D11-IPS950 system with twin D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 533kW/725hp)
• D13-IPS1200 system with twin D13 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 662kW/900hp)

Shaft drives –

• Volvo Penta D13 Series (2 x 662kW/900hp) shaft-drive package
• CAT C12.9 (2 x 735kW/1000hp) shaft-drive propulsion.
