Celebrate with Riviera in Adelaide this weekend
Adelaide, South Australia: Riviera will stage a very special celebration of fun, friendship and South Australian success at the Adelaide On Water Boat Show this weekend (17-18 October 2015).
Taking centre stage amid an impressive on-water showcase of world-class Rivieras will be a brand-new, sporty and adventurous 445 SUV from the luxury marque’s innovative crossover collection – the most-popular Riviera model ever in South Australia.
“In just three years, 13 new Riviera SUV’s have been purchased by South Australian boating enthusiasts. To highlight just how popular this very versatile SUV model has been in South Australian waters since first being launched as the 5000th Riviera in 2012, our very loyal family of owners will help us display an additional six Riviera 445 SUVs at the On Water Boat Show,” said R Marine South Australia dealer principal, Paul Harrop.
“We also have a special night of Riviera-style fun in store – with a marina dock party complete with live entertainment – and as of Monday this week there were 29 Riviera luxury motor yachts confirmed for our exclusively reserved Adelaide On Water Boat Show berths,” he said.
Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said R Marine South Australia enjoys a very close and personal relationship with Riviera and Belize owners and this was formally recognised recently with the marque’s fourth consecutive Dealership of the Year Award for Australia and New Zealand.
“Riviera and R Marine South Australia work as a team to provide unparalleled owner care to ensure owning a Riviera or Belize is a truly unique, rich and rewarding experience,” he said.
“The strong show of support for Riviera and R Marine South Australia in Adelaide this weekend certainly inspires the talented, 480-strong team at our state-of-the-art yacht-building facility on Australia’s Gold Coast to continue to strive to produce the best Rivieras ever.”
The current Riviera and Belize range spans 17 individual models from five very distinct model collections catering to an extremely wide range of boating pursuits and today, almost 5200 Riviera and Belize motor yachts can be seen cruising the seas, oceans, lakes and rivers of the world.
Riviera 445 SUV – on display
Very versatile
The 445 SUV model offers myriad options to suit specific boating requirements – from recreational cruising and luxury entertaining to serious deep-sea fishing. Key features include a Flybridge-scale cockpit with massive side lockers/fish bins, an aft-facing mezzanine lounge with storage to starboard, an awning window that opens to the cockpit to create a free-flowing space from the forward port-side helm, past the aft galley through to the large rear boarding platform.
“The saloon is both elegant and practical with starboard U-shaped premium leather lounge encompassing hi-lo-dining table that folds and lowers to become a coffee table, or extra bed, complementing those on the accommodation deck, where the master stateroom forward features a queen-sized island bed and ensuite bathroom,” said Mr Harrop. “The full-beam guest aft stateroom features three adult-sized beds, two of which can slide together to create a double. This stateroom has private access to the second bathroom as a true ensuite, or can be closed off to allow this bathroom to serve as the day head.”
The 445 SUV also features the very latest in marine navigation and onboard systems technology, including digital switching, simplistic joystick maneuverability and incredible fuel economy and with popular smooth power of twin Volvo Penta IPS2-600 (320kW/435hp x 2) pod drives with D6 engines, has a cruising range of 339 nautical miles at 26.7 knots with 10 per cent fuel reserve, depending on load and sea conditions.
“To date an impressive 90 sporty and adventurous SUV models have been launched from the three-model range and the growing number of Riviera SUV owners in South Australia tell us it’s like having two boats … in one,” said Mr Harrop.
Riviera 43 Open Flybridge – on display
True blue-water classic
The Riviera 43 Open Flybridge incorporates great function and style within a supremely comfortable, sea-kindly hull and is a striking example of Riviera’s thoroughly modern approach to flybridge motor yacht design.
“As you step from the expansive 11.42m2 (122.9ft2) and into the spacious saloon, you’ll start to feel right at home, with panoramic, tinted opening side windows capturing fresh sea breezes and enhanced by the clever awning window opening out to the cockpit, in effect making the cockpit and saloon one large entertaining or living space and accentuating the free-flowing feel from the windscreen through to the swim platform,” said Mr Harrop.
“The 43 features an aft U-shaped gourmet galley and luxurious saloon finished with contemporary leather and rich, varnished timber as well as an innovative two-stateroom/two-bathroom design with forward master stateroom.
“The open flybridge is accessible from the cockpit via the Riviera design ‘stair-ladder’, and offers 360-degree vision with minimal interruption thanks to the structural hardtop canopy, with ultramodern marine technology at the helm including a joystick for easy docking and the advanced CZone digital switching system that is now a feature of every new Riviera built.”
Popular power in the 43 Open Flybridge is twin Volvo Penta IPS2-600 pod drives (320kW x 435hp x 2) with D6 engines which achieve an approximate cruising range of 340 nautical miles at 24.5 knots, with 10 per cent fuel reserve depending on load and sea conditions.
