Gold Coast International Marine Expo comes of age with biggest-ever crowd and best-ever sales
Over 20,000 boating enthusiasts streamed through the welcome gates of the Gold Coast International Marine Expo in May to experience the 6th edition of ‘the boat show with so much more’.
What they discovered was a record showcase of over 600 luxurious motor yachts, catamarans and boats of all types and sizes both on land and on the water, as well as over 230 incredibly diverse displays featuring everything from marine engines and equipment to lightweight tenders, jet skis and boating accessories.
“The Expo has really come of age,” said Event & Marketing Manager Emma Milne. “This year we had visitors from the United States, Singapore, Japan, China, Korea, the Dominican Republic, Spain, the United Kingdom, a large contingent of New Zealanders as well as people from every state in Australia.
“It’s very pleasing other boating events recorded great success in 2016 – multiple boating events running concurrently on the Gold Coast provides a fantastic four days for interstate and international visitors and we look forward to further enhancing the relevant, unique and rewarding boating experience visitors for 2017’s Expo from 25-28 May.”
