Australian luxury yacht builder Riviera has announced the appointment of highly respected marine industry identity Michael Pitman as Dealer Principal of R Marine Perth and its service companies RMP Service and The Boatmen in Fremantle, Western Australia.

Riviera chief executive Wes Moxey said Mr Pitman has boating in his bloodline – his family has a long and successful history of servicing South Australia and the Northern Territory through the Pitman Marine group of businesses based in Adelaide.

“Michael Pitman has a wealth of industry experience and, since March 2011, he has been a senior member the R Marine South Australia team – winner of four consecutive Riviera Dealer of the Year awards,” said Mr Moxey.

“Riviera must thank and recognise the tireless commitment of the team led by R Marine South Australia Dealer Principal Paul Harrop who brought Michael onboard in 2011 and for mentoring him and allowing him to further develop his natural talents and skills.

“Through our unique social, educational and cruising events, Michael has played an integral role in building the very close and personal relationships we value so highly with the South Australian circle of our global family of Riviera and Belize luxury motor yacht owners.

“Michael shares Riviera’s hallmark passion for excellence and our unwavering commitment to customer care – we are extremely proud that we are now able to share his unique skill set with our valued West Australian family of owners.”

There are over 500 Riviera and Belize luxury motor yachts based in Perth and Mr Pitman says he’s looking forward to meeting existing and aspiring West Australian luxury motor yacht enthusiasts and their families, and to help realise their individual boating aspirations.

“I’ve been privileged to meet many members of our West Australian family at the annual Riviera Festival of Boating in May on the Gold Coast and the Sydney International Boat Show over the past five years, and I have always been inspired by their enthusiasm for Riviera’s luxury, technology, performance and, of course, for the fun and fulfilling lifestyle that is uniquely Riviera,” said Mr Pitman.

“I’m very proud to work alongside Service & Owner Care Manager Tim Wright and the talented teams at R Marine Perth, RMP Service and The Boatmen, and to immerse myself in the culture that is uniquely Western Australia … it’s a truly wonderful place.”
