Northern Sydney based Riviera dealer, R Marine Riley, has raised a staggering $12,000 for the Westpac Life Saver Helicopter Service at the not-for-profit organisation’s charity dinner held on June 13.

R Marine Riley’s dealer principal Mark Riley said he was proud to sponsor such a worthy cause.

“The Westpac Life Saver Helicopter Service provides a valuable service to our boating community and I feel honoured to have the opportunity to support them in their fundraising endeavours because one day we might need their assistance if we get into trouble at sea,” Mr Riley said.

“At the live auction we offered a full day cruise on board one of our luxury Riviera boats on Pittwater for 12 people including food and drinks and we were surprised to see a bidding frenzy with the winning table paying $6,000 for the experience.

“After the auction, it was brought to my attention that another table also wanted the prize, so the auctioneer, CEO of the Westpac Life Saver Helicopter Service and I decided to offer a second boat cruise to that table if they too paid $6,000 for the prize.  It went to auction again and a total of $12,000 was raised for this very worthy cause.”
