Christmas festivities under way for the Riviera Family

It is time to ‘deck the hulls’ with ‘bows of holly’ as the Riviera family comes together to celebrate the festive season with their respective Riviera dealers around the world.

In Australia, from South Stradbroke Island in Queensland’s south to Sydney’s Hawkesbury River and west to Matilda Bay in Western Australia, Riviera owners enjoyed the best of good cheer as they wished each other a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

R Marine Crawley

In Queensland, more than 70 people joined R Marine Crawley at South Stradbroke Island on December 6 for an entertaining Christmas barbecue with a special guest appearance from Santa.

R Marine Jones

The team at R Marine Jones didn’t let Queensland’s stormy weather and torrential downpours dampen their spirits, with the weather clearing just in time for their annual soiree at McLarens Landing on South Stradbroke Island, where 20 Rivieras anchored off the beach before everyone headed ashore for festivities and a feast of prime rib, reef fish and tropical salads.

R Marine Riley

In Sydney, R Marine Riley hosted a spectacular evening at Peats Bite on November 29 for 60 guests on board 15 Rivieras and one Belize. The evening commenced with champagne and cocktails on the lawn followed by a six-course meal and charity auction which raised more than $2000 for the Westpac Helicopter. The evening wouldn’t be complete without a quiet dinner drink and karaoke back on the boats.

R Marine Perth

In Perth, 23 Rivieras rafted up together in Matilda Bay on December 5 for R Marine Perth’s annual Riviera Raft up and Christmas Party. The new 515 SUV was anchored in front of the raft up with a three-piece band, The Bourne Trio, on board entertaining some 150 Riviera owners and their friends. As part of the entertainment, the team from R Marine Perth staged a technical glitch, which stopped the music, disappointing the crowd for just a short period as sales manager Tim Wright climbed aboard to investigate the problem. When he appeared covered in grease he immediately called for a new impellor to be delivered as soon as possible by helicopter. Of course this happened straight away and, when Tim asked if anything else was required, an owner chimed in with a request for more champagne. This was the cue the helicopter pilot had been waiting for and, on demand, he delivered bottles of bubbly for distribution to each Riviera on behalf of R Marine Perth’s Priority Assist Team, which acts as a mobile service team helping Riviera owners during the summer boating months with spare parts and boat repairs.

Riviera’s 430 strong team of master craftsmen and marine professionals are grateful for the continued support of our loyal owners and wish the Riviera global family a very Merry Christmas and happy and safe boating in the New Year.
