The team from R Marine South Australia decked the halls of the Adelaide Sailing Club’s Regatta Room with boughs of holly, fairy lights and all things festive to celebrate Christmas in July with almost 100 Riviera owners.
The rich red and gold decorations coupled with central heating created a festive ambience as guests escaped the bitter cold winter’s night and entered the warm and cosy room for some festive cheer.
Riviera 51 Enclosed Flybridge owners Keith and Helen Degenhardt said the room was beautifully decorated, the food was delicious, the Moet continued to flow throughout the evening, and the entertainment from local band Audio Zoo was pleasant.
“It was great to see so many Riviera stalwarts at the event plus a lot of new faces mingling in the crowds,” Mr Degenhardt said.
“It was a really good night. These events really make you feel like you belong to the Riviera family. We come together with a shared interest and it doesn’t matter if you have a flybridge or a sport yacht, a small boat or a large boat, we are all Riviera owners and share a common love for boating. The group is very egalitarian and there is a strong sense of camaraderie.
“The team here at Adelaide do a tremendous job and they have outdone themselves again with this event – the room was decorated appropriately and the lucky door prizes were a nice surprise.”
R Marine South Australia dealer principal Paul Harrop said the ‘Riviera Love’ was alive and well in South Australia with so many owners supporting the Owners’ Club events.
“It is one thing to host an event like this for our owners, but it is our owners who deserve the accolades for their tremendous support,” Mr Harrop said.
“The Riviera Owners’ Club of South Australia is growing all the time and all the new Riviera owners are welcomed with open arms.”
