Family fun as Riviera and Belize dealer R Marine Mandurah helps owners celebrate a truly Australian experience
“There’s nothing quite like owning a Riviera!”
It’s a phrase often repeated when the growing global family of Riviera and Belize luxury motor yacht owners gathers to share in the exhilaration of blue-water cruising-in-company experiences.
It also serves as a key source of inspiration for the marque’s dedicated dealers to continue striving to make the Riviera boating experience even better.
“Seeing our owners enjoy all the rich and rewarding benefits of the truly unique Riviera life afloat is something really special,” says Carl Segreto, the dealer principal of Riviera and Belize dealer R Marine Mandurah in Western Australia.
“It’s a really special feeling to know you have played some small role in helping our owners create those memories, and friendships, that you know will last a lifetime.”
Riviera’s inspiring program of support for owners extends far beyond the initial purchase of their world-class luxury motor yachts. Indeed, it continues throughout the entire period of ownership.
This unparalleled level of care includes educational events that help develop the confidence and skills for owners to use their world-class yachts to their full potential.
It also encompasses special experience events where, with the support of seasoned skippers and engineers, they can share the pure exhilaration of blue-water cruising in company with like-minded luxury motor yacht owners with an appreciation for Riviera luxury, superior sea-keeping and spirited performance.
And then … there are the fun-filled social events that, for many owners, are simply not to be missed.
The City of Mandurah, located 72 kilometres south of Perth, is an immensely popular boating destination. It boasts the largest on-water canal system in Western Australia, and thus is also being widely known as a hot spot for fishing, water sports, sailing, skiing and swimming.
Carl says it is an ideal destination for Riviera owners to moor their yachts and enjoy the exceptional service from his talented team of trained technicians.
“Riviera and R Marine Mandurah are all about creating the ultimate boating experience for our growing fraternity of owners,” says Carl.
“Our genuine commitment to customer care is something that is highly valued by our owners … and it’s something we as their dedicated dealer take very seriously.”
In fact, the team from R Marine Mandurah received high praise after hosting the third annual Australia Day Getaway in January, with the owners of over 20 yachts cruising the southern West Australian waters, catching up with fellow Riviera family members and introducing favoured friends to the truly unique Riviera lifestyle.
Riviera 47 Enclosed Flybridge owner Clint Jakovich tipped his hat to the professionalism of Carl and his talented team for organising another exceptional event.
“This was my third time at this event and I really don’t know how they do it but they keep pulling a rabbit out of the hat and these events keep getting better every year,” he said.
“We were away six days and although the weather meant the raft-up at Penguin Island didn’t quite go as planned, we found good protection in Mangles Bay before heading up to Rottnest Island to see Hoodoo Gurus and return to Perth see the fireworks during the opening of the new Elizabeth Quay precinct .
Justin Taylor, who joined the cruise with his wife Helen aboard their Riviera 43 Flybridge, says it is inspiring to see the friendships forged throughout these cruising events.
“Everyone knows each other so well now,” he says. “Everyone feels really comfortable – it really is like one big family.
“This year we had some people join us who had not been before and everyone made sure they were brought into the fold and made to feel welcome.”
Justin also gave credit to the R Marine Mandurah team for their organisational skills, their back-up plans in the event of unfavourable weather, and for taking into consideration the time constraints of participants.
“It really was an awesome six days,” he says.
Carl says another customer reported that he was feeling nervous about offshore cruising but, with so much experience and support so close at hand, both he and his wife felt they were ready to tackle more challenges.
“That’s what it’s all about,” says Carl.
Carl said the Getaway’s educational events included flare demonstrations and rope-handling activities, seamanship and owners were excited to hear of the new workshops being introduced at the 2016 Riviera Festival of Boating on the Gold Coast from 19-22 May.
“There will be over 70 educational and social events across four fun-filled days at the Festival – everyone who has been recommends it highly.”
Carl says R Marine Mandurah is now finalising its 2016 calendar of events and interested members of the Riviera family, or aspiring owners, are welcome to register their interest at info@rmarinemandurah.com.au.
“We are also always on the look-out for experienced and enthusiastic new staff to help us continue to deliver our premium owner enjoyment so if anyone is interested, I’d urge them to contact us.”
