Latest Riviera 77 is the ultimate sportfisher
Coomera, Queensland, Australia: The talented team at Riviera is now putting the finishing touches to the second majestic 77 Enclosed Flybridge, which was launched this week at our world-class factory at Coomera on Australia’s Gold Coast.
The distinctive and deluxe design of the 77 Enclosed Flybridge – which features massive forward windows and sweeping, symmetrical safety glass feature panels bonded to each side of her colossal hull – reflects Riviera’s ethos of excellence in every endeavour.
This latest luxurious, long-range Riviera is certainly a very serious sportfisher, with a range of custom angling options including tuna tower, downriggers, Rupp hydraulic four-spreader outriggers, additional rod-holders, triple tuna tubes and an offset swivelling game chair, as well as custom oversized cockpit fish bins both port and starboard and large transom live bait tank.
On this magnificent model, large awning windows enhance the free-flowing feel of both the mezzanine and massive aft flybridge deck. The mezzanine deck features tinted clears and air-conditioning to cater to the extremely high temperatures of the Middle East, where the mercury can rise above 50 degrees Celsius (126 degrees Fahrenheit).
Also air-conditioned are the spacious and sumptuous saloon, companionway, four bathrooms and also the four staterooms, including full-beam master stateroom with ensuite. The fully equipped two-berth crew quarters forward of the engine room is equipped with air-conditioning, ensuite, shower and laundry.
The 77’s fully enclosed flybridge is also a skipper’s dream and has electric adjustable helm seats, the latest Raymarine navigation electronics and three large 16.5-inch glass bridge screens as well as thermal imaging, dynamic positioning system, a state-of-the-art EchoPilot 3D forward sounder, floodlights, six cameras, and the CZone digital switching system which is now standard in all new Rivieras.
Powered by a MAN shaft drive package with twin V12 diesel engines each producing 1800 horsepower, the 77 Enclosed Flybridge has a total fuel capacity of 9500 litres (2509.63 US gallons), enhancing her an extremely long-range and her capability of cruising Middle Eastern waters almost at will.
She also features the innovative Twin Disc Express Joystick System which revolutionises docking and slow speed manoeuvring of diesel-powered, conventional shaft-line boats. In this latest 77, there are EJS joysticks at the helm, starboard flybridge docking station, port side of the cockpit and also in the tuna tower.
This second 77 Enclosed Flybridge has been built for her Dubai-based owner who plans to spend several weeks in Australian waters taking her for a shakedown cruise before she is shipped to the Seychelles early in October.
The third 77 Enclosed Flybridge – the largest and most luxurious Riviera ever – is now under construction for a Kuwait-based owner and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2015.
