Coomera, Gold Coast, Australia: Mercedes Benz owners from right across Queensland could see a clear correlation between the two luxury brands when they toured the world-class Riviera facility recently.

Indeed, both offer high-end luxury and superior reliability, both are built to last and feature high-quality workmanship with an intricate eye for detail, both have proven re-sale values … and both have very loyal followings of passionate owners right around the world.

Mercedes Benz Club of Queensland vice-president Russell Ewart was among the 75 members to tour the 14-hectare Riviera factory in three groups during a recent owners’ rally, which included a Riviera concourse display of new and classic luxury Mercedes Benz motor vehicles from right across South East Queensland.

Mr Ewart says all club members were very impressed with the level of hands-on human involvement in Riviera’s production, which is also offered by Benz.

“The process of human involvement is very important to achieving quality and the workmanship that goes into Riviera boats is reflected in the high quality of its boats,” he said.

“Both Mercedes Benz and Riviera also have continuity of models, which is also very important because it shows that they are always improving.”

“Both also are considered benchmarks for their respective industries … and are positioned to stay there for many years to come.”

After the factory tours, which spanned Riviera’s world-class production facility from lamination and engineering and right through to final fit out and quality control, the Mercedes Benz owners then inspected a showcase of finished Riviera yachts berthed at the Riviera Marina, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Riviera Yacht Club.
