Riviera and Belize excites boating enthusiasts around the world

Coomera, Queensland, Australia: It’s all hands on deck at Riviera as the award-winning luxury boat-builder prepares its latest models for a series of stunning special premieres at some of the biggest boat shows around the world.

Already this month the classically inspired Belize 54 Daybridge made her European premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, and the sporty and adventurous Riviera 515 SUV was an immediate hit after her Americas premiere at Newport, Rhode Island, where a 43 Open Flybridge was also showcased.

Riviera CEO Wes Moxey said interest in the 515 from the international boating public was extremely satisfying and testament to the pride and passion that goes into creating every new Riviera.

“Boating aficionados are saying that owning a Riviera SUV is like owning two boats in one,” he said. “This clever crossover collection is the perfect pairing of two legendary designs, each with its own formidable pedigree.

“The SUV combines the high-performance, bluewater cruising and fish-raising abilities of the classic Flybridge with the single-level leisurely entertaining features of the very popular Sport Yacht series – a true bridge between them both.”

Auckland On Water Boat Show: 25-28 September

Riviera will display both the stylish 515 SUV and the larger 565 SUV for the first time in New Zealand at the Auckland On Water Boat Show.

“The fact is that Riviera boats – besides being renowned for their indoor/outdoor lifestyle concepts – are also widely respected for their superior sea-keeping abilities, making them ideal for the challenging waters around New Zealand,” said Mr Moxey.

Also at the Riviera and Belize display in Auckland will be a Riviera 63 Enclosed Flybridge, an ideal long-range offshore vessel, and the charismatic Belize 54 Daybridge.

Mandurah Boat Show: 10-12 October

Just a fortnight later, R Marine Mandurah and R Marine Perth team up for the West Australian premiere of both the 515 SUV and the seriously seaworthy Riviera 50 Enclosed Flybridge at the Mandurah Boat Show.

“There’s been quite a bit of interest from the West Australian market in the SUV series and it will be a pleasure to present the 515 in Mandurah,” said Mr Moxey. “The striking new 50 Enclosed Flybridge will make quite an impression too – all round she feels much bigger and she has more internal space than similar sized boats.”

Also at the Mandurah Boat Show display will be a 445 SUV, the 5000 and 5800 models from the stylish Sport Yacht series, as well as a 43 Open from the classic Flybridge collection.

Barcelona International Boat Show: 15-19 October

The Belize 54 Daybridge makes her Spanish premiere at the Barcelona International Boat Show at Port Vell at the stand of Belize and Riviera dealer, Internacional Marina Subur.

Riviera owner and chairman Rodney Longhurst said the 54 Daybridge reflects an age of timeless tradition, individuality, style and refined character.

“The Australian-owned and designed Belize 54 has the ability to transfix an entire bay of modern craft when she glides in,” said Mr Longhurst. “The 54 is inspired by the growing affection for luxury motor yachts boasting a noble and nostalgic design, and blends this with state-of-the-art marine technology and a high-performance hull – she is certainly exciting the European market.”

Annapolis – United States Power Boat Show – October 16-19

The Belize 54 Daybridge will also be showcased at the United States Power Boat Show in Annapolis, Maryland (USA), alongside the stylish 5000 Sport Yacht and the 565 SUV.

“The 5000 Sport Yacht is one of our most successful models ever – she has clean lines, a bright contemporary interior, modern materials and an emphasis on easy entertaining, the solid feel and handling together with her spirited performance,” said Mr Longhurst.

Gold Coast International Marine Expo: 17-19 October

The latest release from the sophisticated Riviera Sport Yacht series – the 6000 – will make her Queensland premiere at the Gold Coast International Marine Expo.

It will be something of a homecoming for the 6000, billed as ‘the ultimate entertainer’, after her world premiere at the Sydney International Boat Show at the beginning of August. The flagship of the Sport Yacht collection, the 6000 is supremely comfortable with innovative alfresco lifestyle concepts, ultramodern technology and palatial appointments – a high-performance yacht akin to a floating six-star resort.

Riviera, which is based at Coomera on the Gold Coast, will be conducting factory tours via The Riviera Express, a fully narrated train ride taking in many behind the scenes sections of its impressive, 14-hectare world-class site.

Also on display at the Gold Coast Expo will be the 515 and 445 SUVs, 3600 and 5000 models from the Sport Yacht collection, and the 43 Open, 53 Enclosed and 63 Enclosed models from the Flybridge series.

Fort Lauderdale Boat Show: 30 October – 3 November

The final boat show on the Riviera itinerary this year is Fort Lauderdale, where the 6000 Sport Yacht will make her Americas premiere and be showcased alongside the 445 and 565 SUV crossover models, the sophisticated 5000 Sport Yacht, the seriously seaworthy 50 Enclosed Flybridge, as well as the classically inspired Belize 54 Daybridge.

Mr Longhurst paid tribute to the efforts of the 400-strong Riviera team at Coomera and the entire Riviera global dealer network in demonstrating the latest in luxury, design, innovation and technology – the evolution of Riviera’s 34 years of building some of the best luxury yachts in the world.

“Our philosophy is to create the ultimate boating experience for both seasoned boat owners and those keen to take the helm for the first time, and I believe our latest new models reflect this philosophy,” he said.

“Having launched more than 5000 boats throughout our rich 34-year history, and with a relentless commitment to excellence, Riviera is internationally renowned for superior sea-keeping, luxurious furnishings, ultramodern technology, practical ease of use, clever and convenient lifestyle concepts … and an exacting eye for detail from fit to finish.

“Riviera dealers regularly host special Experience trips to beautiful destinations, as well as gala events to which members of the Riviera and Belize ‘family’ receive exclusive invitations.  Riviera’s global dealer network, spanning more than 60 countries, is unparalleled in the spheres of training, mobile service and support for Riviera and Belize yacht owners.

“Of course, this thoughtful consideration for our Riviera family of owners is a key part of our ‘built to last’ philosophy that allows our owners years and decades of confident and enjoyable boating.

“We call it … ‘the ultimate boating experience’.”
