Riviera fan sends Christmas wishes

Coomera, Gold Coast, Australia: Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst was delighted when a he received a very special hand-made Christmas Card from dedicated Riviera fan, Joshua Toohey, from Western Australia.

The eight-year-old has grown up around Rivieras and late last year his parents surprised him with a Riviera factory tour while on holiday on the Gold Coast.

Joshua’s Christmas Card has brought great Christmas cheer to the Riviera team with his timeline of Riviera boats and his inquisitive questions.

    Riviera has launched almost 5,100 boats in its 35 year history.
  1. How many boats have you made this year?
    Riviera is on track to build and launch 75 yachts.
  1. What was the most popular boat this year?
    The popular model this year was the new Riviera 515 SUV which made her world premiere at the Riviera Festival of Boating in May and is currently up to hull number 20.
  1. How many customers did you have?
    In Riviera’s 35 year history, the company has built and launched almost 5,100 new boats and over the years these boats have changed ownership many times. So, in fact the world over there are tens of thousands of families who have been or are Riviera owners
  1. How many Riviera 75s were launched this year?
    Riviera has constructed and launched two new 75 Enclosed Flybridges this year.

Joshua’s fascination with Australia’s iconic boat brand is evident in his drawings and the 430 strong team at Riviera wish Joshua and his family a very Merry Christmas and happy and safe boating at their favourite anchorage, Rottnest Island.

Riviera will be conducting fully narrated factory tours via train and air-conditioned coach at the Riviera Festival of Boating from 21-24 May 2015. Registrations for the festival – which includes over 70 educational seminars, practical workshops and social events – open 9am on January 29 and will be available on the Riviera website.
