Riviera owners invited to discover the tastes and the treasures of Tasmania

Pittwater, NSW, Australia: Let’s face it: some blue-water voyages are simply once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

And while there may be a variety of reasons some of us have not yet set our bows towards the pristine blue waters of Bass Strait, there is one unique three-week passage now in the planning that offers the chance to discover all the treasures of Tasmania and the southern seas.

The R Marine Riley Tasmania Experience event is but one example of how revered Riviera helps its global family of owners to achieve ‘the ultimate boating experience’.

Cruising in company with fellow Riviera and Belize luxury motor yachts, and under the guidance of the experienced team from Pittwater-based R Marine Riley, the Tasmania Experience fleet will leave Sydney Harbour to follow the Sydney-Hobart race yachts out through The Heads on Boxing Day 2015 with the first stop being beautiful Jervis Bay.

Riviera owners regularly cruise in company on special Experience voyages to beautiful destinations.

Riviera dealer Mark Riley says that already there are 10 yachts which have confirmed interest for what he believes will be one of the biggest Experience voyages undertaken yet by the R Marine dealer network in Australia.

“This is a great opportunity for Riviera and Belize owners to stretch their sea legs with the confidence they are in the company of people with extensive blue-water cruising and weather forecasting experience, as well as a marine engineer who knows their boats intimately,” says Mark.

“We have started planning the Experience trip now and we invite Riviera and Belize owners to join us on this very special voyage to the Apple Isle by registering as soon as possible.”

Mark says the Tasmania Experience trip will meander down the NSW coastline to Jervis Bay, then Eden, Port Welshpool in Victoria and Refuge Cove before crossing Bass Strait.

“We will stop off at idyllic anchorages to see the sights of the Flinders Island Group before heading to Launceston and then travelling down the east coast to Wineglass Bay, Hobart, Bruny Island, Port Arthur and visiting the major ‘wild rivers’,” he says.

“We are also planning tours of wineries, fish farms and the goat’s cheese factories for which Tasmania is acclaimed – it really will be a fantastic boatie and foodie experience.”

This year R Marine Riley is also planning an Experience to Fraser Island and Lady Musgrave Island during the September school holidays, as well as regular ladies driving courses and “Riv Kids” events.
