Riviera owners set to cruise for charity

Sydney-based Riviera owners are invited to take part in a very special Camp Quality Kids Cruise at Pittwater in October in support of the very deserving children’s charity.

Riviera dealer R Marine Riley, based at Pittwater, is heading up the special event to treat children living with cancer, and their families, to a Riviera experience to treasure.

CQLogo“Camp Quality’s purpose is to create a better life for every child under 13 years of age who is living with cancer in Australia,” said dealer principal Mark Riley.

“This very worthwhile charity advocates that laughter is the best medicine and it really is inspiring to see how they build optimism and resilience through each stage of the cancer journey … and their commitment extends to supporting the whole family.

“They are even starting to provide support to children under 13 who have a parent living with cancer.”

“The Camp Quality Kids Cruise concept came about after a Camp Quality ‘Giggle Ball’ in the Hunter region (New South Wales) where a day cruising aboard the beautiful Pittwater waterways aboard a luxury Riviera motor yacht, including champagne lunch, was keenly sought at auction.

“It was a pleasure to see our auction prize go for $3000 on the night and to know that the money will be used to help children fight and overcome cancer, whilst also providing for their needs and supporting their families,” said Mark, adding that there are very few people in Australia who, in some way, have not been touched by cancer.

“My wife Darja and I have three lovely children ourselves and many of our clients have children, so we feel compelled to support children living with cancer and their families through those difficult times,” he said.

“We thought how wonderful it would be to treat children who would not normally be able to spend a day afloat aboard a luxury Riviera to such an enriching experience … of course with the help of the Riviera family.

“We are hoping to have as many as 50 Rivieras take part, with one family per boat.”

The Camp Quality Kids Cruise has been scheduled for October 18 and Riviera owners who would like to participate are invited to contact R Marine Riley on (02) 9979 7000 or email Abigail Jones at abigail@rmarineriley.com.au for further details.

  • R Marine Riley also recently donated a Cruise for a Day aboard a Riviera to the Westpac Surf Lifesaver Helicopter Rescue Service, raising a total of $8000.
