Riviera re-appoints Richard Boland Yachts in Northern California

Alameda, California, USA: Iconic Australian luxury yacht builder Riviera has re-appointed Alameda-based Richard Boland Yachts as its exclusive representative for Northern California, USA, to further strengthen the West Coast Riviera and Belize owner experience.

The new dealership arrangement comes amid growing global affection for the master-crafted Riviera collection of 16 luxury motor yachts, which range in size from 36-75 feet, and reflects Richard Boland’s personal commitment to offering nothing less than the very best in the ‘new’ motor yacht market.

Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said the re-appointment lays a solid platform for the future of luxury Riviera and Belize Motoryachts on the west coast of America and strengthens the fine efforts of Emerald Pacific Yachts with locations in San Diego and Seattle, which will work closely alongside Richard Boland Yachts.

“Richard Boland started in the marine industry in 1968 and has established an enviable reputation for offering the highest quality and premium value luxury yachts to ensure the long-term enjoyment of his clients,” Mr Longhurst said.

“This, combined with Richard’s renowned level of after-sales customer care, ensures Richard Boland Yachts is a perfect fit with the hallmark Riviera commitment of providing the ultimate boating experience for our global family of owners.”

Mr Longhurst said that, in 1995, Richard Boland Yachts secured just the third Riviera dealership in the United States and Mr Boland has since sold, commissioned and delivered over 50 new Riviera yachts.

“Richard actually initiated the first “Take Delivery in Australia” program in 2009, where 16 US Riviera owners toured our world-class, 34.6-acre (14ha) factory at Coomera on the Gold Coast of Queensland before venturing north to Cairns for marlin fishing and a visit to the Great Barrier Reef.

“He also organized a trip for Riviera owners to Costa Rica for fishing in Los Suenos, including professional training in the art of bill fishing for two days … and has plans to undertake a similar adventure to New Zealand.”

Mr Boland said Riviera’s range of 16 luxury yachts caters for an extremely wide range of boating pursuits and individual styles.

“Riviera has a model to suit every boating aficionado,” he said. “There are four separate model collections: the supremely seaworthy, long-range Open and Enclosed Flybridges, the stylish and sophisticated Sport Yachts, the adventurous new SUV series, and the classically inspired Belize Motoryachts.

“And having built nearly 5100 yachts in the past 35 years, Riviera has a worldwide reputation for clever indoor/outdoor characteristics, state-of-the-art technology and palatial appointments, combined with legendary build quality and blue-water performance.”

Riviera is Australia’s most-awarded luxury yacht builder, ever. The luxury marque added to an impressive list of awards at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show where its SUV series flagship – the very versatile 565 – was acknowledged as the ‘best of the best’ in its class with Best Motoryacht honors from the Active Interest Media (AIM) Marine Group, publisher of a large stable of boating titles, for yachts ranging from 50-59 feet.

Mr Boland said the high-performance features and flexible design of the 565 SUV were certainly hard to ignore – catering for both the avid angler and the cruising entertainer.

“The adventurous Riviera SUV series – which also includes the sporty 445 and 515 models – is the perfect pairing of two legendary designs, each with its own formidable pedigree,” he said.

“The crossover SUV series combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the classic Riviera Flybridge collection, and the single-level, leisurely entertaining features of the luxurious Sport Yacht design.

“Riviera reports that many owners are saying it’s a lot like having two boats .. in one and we are certainly keen to share this exciting new model series with our Californian clients.”

Riviera this year released two exciting new models, the sleek and sporty 515 SUV and ‘the ultimate entertainer’, the 6000 Sport Yacht.

Riviera has also announced the sale of its fleet flagship 77 Enclosed Flybridge, and she will make her world premiere at the Dubai International Boat Show from 3-7 March next year, joining a growing fleet of Riviera Open and Enclosed Flybridge yachts in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The Riviera-designed and owned Belize 54 Daybridge also received worldwide acclaim, this year acknowledged in the LuxMedia Group’s World Yachts Trophies at Cannes Yachting Festival.

“We are proud to be able to offer this premium range of Riviera and Belize Motoryachts exclusively to Northern California’s discerning yachting community,” said Mr Boland.

Richard Boland Yachts is involved in all aspects of the sale of Riviera yachts, including assistance with financing, insurance, berthing, surveys, haul-outs, repairs, equipment additions, title transfers, yacht familiarization and handling.

The dealership also maintains a full service department with experienced service personnel on staff.

Richard will be present at the Miami International Boat Show from 12-16 February 2015, where Riviera and Belize will have an impressive US$11.5 million, nine-yacht line-up featuring the 445, 515 and 565 models from the sporty and adventurous SUV series, the 6000 and 5000 models from the stylish and sophisticated Sport Yacht range, and the 43 Open, 50 Enclosed and 53 Enclosed yachts from the supremely seaworthy Flybridge collection, as well as the classically inspired Belize 54 Daybridge.
